Healthy and vital seed potatoes form the basis for a good start. A comprehensive seed potato scan provides a direct and clear image of the health of the starting materials. HLB examines the seed potatoes for the presence of bacteria, viruses and moulds. A check for nematodes and tuber vitality is also carried out.
HLB uses various techniques for this, ranging from relatively simple (microscopic) visual assessments to molecular techniques (PCR) involving studies down to DNA level, but always of high quality.
